I have been asked why NoBoxArt?
The reason, to me at least is straight forward: I have never seen a box, especially when it comes to art.
My ideas come from a much varied background where I have never been able to settle to a simple life, right from school days when the purpose of the technical college that I attended was to prepare the boys for a career in the dockyard, I was often found in the art room where the totally barking mad art teacher ‘Norm’ encouraged experimenting with different materials and methods of creating something interesting, and as it was in the early 70’s, my influences were quite diverse and ‘different’ – Michael Moorcock books, Hawkwind, Gong, Pink Floyd & Yes for music and Roger Dean artwork to inspire a young artist.
